Health & training at the FIBO: The new Hall 8
Health is playing an increasingly important role in the fitness sector. As the meeting place for the global health market, FIBO will bring together all its players, including physiotherapists; sports physicians; hospital, rehab-centre and studio operators; trainers; manufacturers and retailers; HR and corporate-health managers; and operators of spa and wellness facilities, in Cologne from 2 to 5 April 2020. The central destination is Hall 8. It represents the constant change in the areas of health, training and wellness and offers solutions for fitness studios interested in focussing more on the healthcare market.
“The current change doesn’t just affect every industry individually. More and more interfaces pop up that create synergies in the market to respond to changing needs. These developments are reflected in Hall 8”, says Silke Frank.
Prevention, rehabilitation and therapy offerings at the exhibit
Thanks to the vast range of exhibits, presentations and real-world-focussed workshops, the topics of prevention, rehabilitation and therapy have been an integral part of the trade show concept for many years. In future, Hall 8 will offer a consolidated overview of medical therapy and training equipment for use in hospital rehab departments, therapy facilities and physiotherapy offices. The exhibitors’ selection covers everything from medical-office interiors to billing systems, therapy devices and therapy tables to commodities and consumables to consulting and training.
Hall 8 exhibitors include the health-training providers Excio, SchwaMedico, Schupp and Extrafit. The exhibits of KBL, VDL Hapro, JK International and Suns Solarien will be focussed on wellness, while Trugge, Burg, CWA and LÖW-Fit in Design will share information on all things interior.
The heart of Hall 8: The Meetingpoint Health
The heart of the hall is the Meetingpoint Health, which will replace the Meetingpoint Physio from 2020 onward in order to take a more holistic view of the topic. The area adds value in multiple ways. For one, partners and institutions from the healthcare sector will be on hand to provide advice. Plus, networking in a casual atmosphere is a priority.
The supporting programme is filled with practice-oriented workshops, presentations and expert talks on topics such as health, therapy and training. The speakers will discuss the latest political developments in physiotherapy, among other issues. The Meetingpoint Health will also serve as the starting point for the guided tours.
Health management at the workplace
Issues surrounding health management and health promotion at the workplace, while widespread already in large companies, still hold lots of potential in small and medium-sized enterprises. Demand for products and services in this area is going up, and sales are expected to continue to increase in coming years.
Yoga and wellness
The range of offerings in the hall is completed by dedicated wellness and yoga areas. Joining outfitters for wellness and spa facilities, experts from the German Wellness Association will stand ready at the Wellness Competence Center on all show days to provide advice and information. The focus will be on the interfaces between wellness, health and fitness. The motto: “World of Recreation, Regeneration and Relaxation”. In addition, visitors will find the latest yoga trends and join-in activities in the Body & Mind area, an inviting oasis of relaxation.
